Sea Buckthorn Oil – For Skincare
On the skin it’s simply brilliant, it has a long history for its health benefits. This golden wonder oil comes from the seeds of the berries, its packed with antioxidants vitamin A, C and E, studies show that these nutrient powerhouses in your skincare can help collagen production and reduce wrinkles and make complexion appear bright and glowing.
It’s VERY ORANGE – So take care if you are using it neat, the colour is VERY strong, it can colour the skin and stain your clothing, this is why I always us it in a blend or mix a few drops directly in my palm with my body oil or face cream before I apply it.
It helps ALL SKIN TYPES! Yes! For both over oily and over dry skin it helps balance your skin’s natural oil production. So can be helpful for large pores but also dry conditions like eczema.
It’s also very unusual in having Omega essential fatty acids 3, 6, 7 AND 9! These help to enhance yours skin hydration and elasticity by protecting and repairing the skin’s natural barrier. And to reduce redness and inflammation like caused by Rosacea and Acne.
Sea Buckthorn oil is an excellent skin healer for treating skin damage like burns (even radiation burns), recent scars, sunburn, rashes, and issues like psoriasis, eczema, acne and rosacea.
It’s also great for the scalp, hair and nail health – try using a little of your face serum on your nails let me know the results!

Sea Buckthorn – As a Supplement
Taking the oil as a capsule internally daily with Its immune regulating factors can help increase resistance against diseases and viruses, its helps slow down internal and external ageing by nourishing the tissues in your skin and body! (I add food grade oil to my breakfast)
Boosts collagen levels in the body so helps plump your skin inside and out, helping with gut living – easing IBS and a great oil to take during perimenopause and menopause.
The Omega essential fatty acids also help fight macular degeneration (loss of eyesight), considered to help with dry eye, heart problems and even cancers.
Personally I take it to help ease brain fog and ADHD for better focus as there is a connection between low Omega levels and ADHD.
