Hello everyone!
Today, I am coming to you to tell you about this special little place, a safe haven if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy, chaotic City.
Nomadic Community Gardens – Making Wasteland Grow
Nomadic Community Gardens (NCG) is a not for profit organisation based in Shoreditch, East London. We are dedicated to transforming disused spaces into urban gardens where people can grow their own produce, create art, share skills, and discover what it means to build their own community from the bottom up.
We breath life into disused parts of the city that become places where nature and community thrive. We transform these spaces into urban oasis’ that produce food and where people can learn and grow.
What is their ethos?
- Welcome and support your neighbours
- Share your perspective and your tools
- Create more than you consume
- Give without expectations.
- Make the garden a space for everyone.
And if that wasn’t enough, they also have a wonderful cafe there called Roving Cafe.
Roving Cafe
This sweet cafe offers simple freshly made dishes using local butchers, bakeries and vegetable shops. They also host regular art mornings, yoga & brunch and cooking lessons, which brings me to my next point.
Soothe-Me is having a workshop in the caf! It will be a Botanical Face-Mask Workshops & Beauty Ritual workshop, held on the 17th August. Want to know more? Watch out for the next blog post where I will go into detail about it!
The address is: Fleet Street Hill, London, E2 6EE
I hope you have learned something new and I look forward to seeing you soon!
