Salt is used for exfoliation. Use sugar if you have very dry skin.
Coffee grinds exfoliate and stimulate the lymphatic system, which helps eliminate toxins. If someone in your house has recently made coffee, you can use those. Or, go to a cafe and ask if you can take some of theirs!
Oils bring the ingredients together. You can use olive oil, grapeseed oil, safflower oil, essential oils (rosemary to boost the immune system, clary sage to ease anxiety, lavender to calm and ground you, geranium is uplifting and sweet).
