Fruity, Fizzy, Water Kefir

Hello everyone!

You might have read my blog post about water kefir and its benefits. If not, just click here. I am coming to you with another great idea of how to make this drink even more delicious. So, imagine you have just made your first water kefir and you have deemed it ready to drink. If you can wait another day, you could have a fruity, bubbly drink! And here’s how:

  1. Pour the water kefir (without the grains) into a container that you can seal (I use a jar, you can use a bottle or even a Tupperware box).
  2. Add fruit of your choice. This could be watermelon, blueberries, cranberries, anything! Just make sure you wash your fruit properly before.
  3. Close the container and let it sit for a day or two. This process is called secondary fermentation.
  4. After 24-48hrs, open, pick the fruit out and enjoy!
