I recently had a holistic aromatherapy consultation with a customer, she was worried about burn out, she wanted help to ease feelings of anxiety caused by chronic stress and to help her nervous system to feel more regulated.

Emotionally she felt stuck, agitated, irritated and deeply frustrated, finding it hard to stay asleep. Physically her skin felt really dry and hair brittle, tension was causing pain in her jaw, shoulders and neck, getting persistent headaches that was bringing pain behind her eyes.

That night I had a dream I was holding my little bottle of Chamomile Essential oil out to her saying –

“You should try this oil, it’s really good to ease tension in muscles and stress headaches. Chamomile will soothe your symptoms of chronic fatigue, calm your nervous system and reduce your risk of burnout”.

Then I knew I should work with Chamomile as the central oil for her remedy blend. Chamomile is a brilliant oil to use for support you at times of excessive stress, especially if you are feeling burnt out – living on your nerves!
Its very healing for the kidneys that can come under duress at this time, a symptom of over-burdened kidneys can cause hair and skin to become dry and brittle.
