At Urban Makers East we value and support designer makers. The hard work, dedication and talent that goes into their work is inspiring, so we are excited and privileged to invite you to our latest market at Mile End Ecology Centre.
Come along and grab your morning coffee (by Routes Coffee) and cake then browse all the stalls with beautiful hand-made crafts, clothes, ceramics, art & greeting cards, jewellery, skincare & more. There are activities for kids and workshops for grown ups that you can book onto.

Mini makers craft room: Keep your kids happy in our craft room where they can make Spring insects and creatures. All materials provided.
Pond Dipping: Kids can try out pond dipping and bug hunting in the conservation nature area outside, please book to make sure you have a place as numbers are limited so

Workshop 1
Morning – DIY Face Clay Mask with soothe-me skincare
SESSIONS: 1

Suzie of soothe-me skincare (me!) will be running a introduction to natural skincare and the benefits clays have for the skin. Then you will make your own clay face mask bespoke for your skin type.Learn how to best cleanse your face including hot cloth cleansing method and get a brief introduction on how to use essential oils.
You will take home with you:
• 1 face clay 60ml Jar (about 8 to 10 masks)
• 1 mini Facial Serum oil
• I mini organic muslin face cloth
• 1 x 10% OFF Soothe-me skincare voucher
Workshop 2
Afternoon – Make a pair of espadrilles with Suzie London
SESSIONS: 1
PRICE: £40
TIME: 1pm – 4pm
LEVEL: Beginner

Spend a fun afternoon making your own pair of espadrilles, in a fabric of your choice. You’ll walk away not only with a pair of espadrilles, but also the knowledge and skills to make many more at home (imagine all the fabrics you could use…)!
Over the 1 day workshop you’ll master the following skills:
– Adjusting a pattern for fit
– Stitching corners and curved seams
– Pinning the upper to the sole
– Hand-stitching using blanket stitch
Suitable for complete beginners. Just bring a fat quarter of fabric (approx 50cm x 50cm). Light to medium weight plain or printed cotton or linen work best. All other materials and tools are provided.
Please let us know which size espadrilles you’d like to make when booking. The soles are available in UK sizes 3-8 (EU 36–42).
