Chia Seeds… The Verdict.

Soothe-me on Chia seeds…

As we look into February, most new years resolutions to get healthier and fitter seem so far away now it’s a wonder any of us are managing to hold on a pair of jogging bottoms!

But low and behold… the easiest way of keeping a healthy habit going all year round, without really thinking or doing anything remotely resembling a stomach crunch, 20 minuet high intensity workout or downward facing dog is just simply adding a few tablespoons of Chia seeds into your diet everyday!

Chia recipe ideas

At Soothe-me HQ, a simple breakfast of cereals, porridge or yoghurt is topped with some chia seeds. Perhaps even lunch of salads, avocado on toast or leftover curry is garnished with… you guessed it, Chia seeds!

I’ve really seen the effects of Chia seeds on my little one, who doesn’t mind the seeds as they have little to no taste anyway, his energy levels have really stabilised during the day and he seems to get less grumpy and in need of an afternoon or mid morning sugar hit. I’m also feeling the benfit as the slow release evergy in Chia seeds has reduced my snacking during the day and I’ve felt much more satisfied after every meal, or maybe I’m just getting better at this veggie cooking game? Either way Chia seeds are definitely here to stay and are spreading a little “chia” through winter, see what I did there?
